Another awe-inspiring site built high on a craggy outcrop jutting out into Tremadog bay, with views of Snowdonia to the North and along the coast as far as Harlech.

Unlike the others built by Edward I Criccieth was started at the beginning of the 13th century, the stone fortress being started by Llywelyn the Great.
